What does one tola gold means?

'Tola', 'tolah' or 'tole' is a Hindi word used in the local Indian market referring to the quantity of gold. In the current market one tola gold is considered to be 10 grams of gold.

Note: Post India independence for a few decades one tola gold was considered to be 11.7 grams of gold but was later reduced to 10 grams by gold jewellers and traders in the local market.
